About

Hi, I'm Kate – a Graphic Designer and Marketing Coordinator with a degree in UX/UI Design. Day to day I create and schedule EDMs across multiple brands, manage and update seven websites on platforms including Shopify, Squarespace, and WordPress, and work closely with the Marketing Manager to deliver solutions for events, sales materials, website campaigns, and social media. My role is vast and I have taken on many hats, never doing any one task for long.

Prior to my current role, I owned and operated Hello Sailor Bakery in Takapuna, creating celebration cakes, coffee, and cabinet food for the local community. After selling the business, I pursued a degree in UX/UI Design with a minor in Graphic Design. Upon graduating, I took on my current role as a Graphic Designer and Marketing Coordinator, where I continue to apply my creative and strategic skills across multiple brands.

In my free time, I enjoy spending time with friends at the beach or anywhere sunny. I love creative writing and have several popular pieces online. I also have a wide range of hobbies, including painting, clay work, baking, reading, walking, fishing, and spending time with my dogs and husband.

When it comes down to it, art is an integral part of who I am. That's why I'm so excited to be on this career path, where I can channel my creativity into exciting new projects and explore new forms of artistic expression.
